The walking-stick consists of eight ivory cylindrical, tapering sections continuing into the silver finial, the upper three sections are carved with scrolling tendrils against a hatched background, the grip is sculpted in the form of a dog’s head with open snout showing teeth and fangs and a pair of sloppy ears.
